Świeradów-Zdrój lies in a valley of the Jizera Mountains — the lift, the spa promenade and the trailheads all start a short walk from the apartment door. All distances are measured from ul. Polna 23A.
No car needed
The eight-seater gondola runs to Stóg Izerski all year: in winter to a floodlit ski run of more than two kilometres, in summer to the hiking and bike trails. The ride takes about 8 minutes.
Prices and hoursThe spa centre of town: a promenade lined with cafés, a mineral-water pump room and the spa park. A good place for an evening stroll or a slow morning with no plan at all.

Town websitePoland's tallest observation tower: 62 metres, with a glass platform and a net suspended above the forest. A gentle ramp of roughly 850 metres leads to the top, so a pushchair makes it up too.
Tickets and hoursTrails, mountain huts and winter cross-country skiing
The upper station sits at around 1,060 m above sea level, and the summit itself is another quarter of an hour along the red trail. The PTTK mountain hut looks out over the Karkonosze and the Czech side of the range.
